  • Reset the furnace by turning off the “EMERGENCY SHUT OFF” switch. Give your system about 10 minutes to reset and then turn the switch back to the on position.

  • The outdoor condensing unit collects debris such as dryer lint, grass, leaves and cotton. Remove debris from outdoor unit by rinsing with a hose, do not use pressure washer when rinsing unit.

A reduction in cooling capacity, uneven cooling throughout the house, loud hissing, banging, or grinding noises coming from A/C, ice covering the lineset or a puddle of water under your furnace ARE ALL SIGNS YOUR SYSTEM ISN’T OPERATING CORRECTLY. If these tips don’t get the system running again, the next step is to call the professionals at Obsidian Heating and Cooling.
