Dylan moved to Ankeny in 1999 and has been providing HVAC service in central Iowa since 2013—an ABC of Iowa graduate and a licensed master mechanical (2022). He runs every job with the conviction that service should be honest, done right the first time, and backed by the people who did it. Married to Skylar; they’re raising two boys and a daughter in Ankeny.
Josiah Krull
Owner & Field Technician
Josiah has been a trusted name in Ankeny and the Des Moines Metro for 8 years, building a reputation on the kind of craftsmanship and customer follow-through you don’t find at larger shops. He believes the best work comes from caring about the outcome—not just completing a ticket. When he’s not on a job, he’s spending time with his wife Raquel and their four kids in Ankeny.

She brings 5 years of CNA experience and 3 years in early childhood education to a role that demands equal parts patience and precision—managing scheduling, customer communication, and day-to-day operations while raising two boys and a daughter with Dylan.

A native of Washington, Illinois who put down roots in Ankeny in 2009, Raquel applies her business experience directly to serving the community that Obsidian Heating and Cooling calls home. She keeps the customer side of the business running smoothly and makes sure every interaction lives up to the standard the team holds in the field. Married to Josiah; they have four children.
